Caring for Nana

I am going to Australia! But before I can go off, I need to make sure my darling Nana is well taken care of.

So I brought it for its 10k servincing. Just oil change, nothing special, did pretty much in the last servicing. Might change brake fluid and oil filter in the next servincing though.

After that I washed my beloved Nana!!

Above pic shows the shiny gold rim after getting rid of all the tar, grim, dirt, oil, sand and whatever horrible black stuffs you get from the road. It was utterly black before the wash, but just look at the beautiful gold colour it is now. A pity, but I forgot to take a before and after shot.

After getting rid of the grim, tar, oil and road dirt, I gave Nana a nice good shampooing. I love bubble all over me when I am shampooing, so I make sure Nana got lots on her too. Hmm any nice shower foam to recommend? Those that produces lots of bubbles one...

Other parts of the bike gets the shampooing after I got rid of the blackey, sticky, grewy stuffs with degreaser.

My beautiful Nana is now clean, shiny and dry. She is sparkling all over. I use a special treatment to get rid of other small dirt from her.

After this I rode home and on the way I pump petrol to full. To protect her fuel tank from possible rust. Now Nana look almost like the day I first got her on the 10th of Oct, new, beautiful and clean. Ahhh I love it.

Heh heh so before I can set my mind at ease to go on holiday. I need to make sure Nana is at her best. Now I can't bear to ride her cause she will get all the road dirt stuck onto her all over again... Oh well, at least she will remain clean during the week that I am gone :D
